Grunge – Cordite 1/2 Yard

That smoky grey-green is way more interesting in person than on my screen. The mottled texture gives it depth that plain grey fabric just doesn't have, and it pressed flat without any weird shine. Already ordered more for a quilt backing.

I bought a half yard to use as a background for a quilt and the smoky grey-green is exactly the moody neutral I wanted. The dark mottling gives it depth without competing with my prints, and it pressed flat with barely any fraying.

The mottled texture in this Grunge blender hides seams so well that I stopped pinning my quilt blocks as carefully. Cut it into 2.5 inch strips for a scrappy border and the fraying stayed minimal. That deep grey-green reads almost charcoal in low light, which is exactly what I wanted.
