Grunge – Faded Denim 1/2 Yard

The mottled texture gives it such a realistic worn-in look for a new fabric. It pressed beautifully and held its shape without being too stiff for detailed piecing. Exactly the soft, faded tone I needed for my scrappy lap quilt.

I grabbed a half-yard for a small quilt project, and the mottled texture gives it that perfectly worn-in look without being too busy. The color is a soft, true fade that blends seamlessly with brighter prints.

The wash on this fabric is exactly that faded, lived-in blue I was after, and the mottled texture makes it look like a real vintage find. It’s soft to the touch, not stiff like some quilting cottons, and the 1/2 yard cut was plenty for my patchwork project.
