Thatched – Dutch Iris 1/2 Yard

I was pleasantly surprised by how beautifully this fabric takes a crease when pressed — perfect for precise piecing. The blue-violet shade has a luminous quality that really catches the light, and it blends seamlessly with my other stash fabrics.

The blue-violet hue is even richer in person than on screen, and it feels smooth and sturdy for quilting. I’m already planning to order more for a yellow-and-purple project.

The way this fabric picks up light is almost painterly—the blue-violet reads different in every fold, and it’s already making my scrappy quilt feel more collected. Half a yard was just enough for my project, but I’m already thinking about ordering more to pair with a soft yellow.
