Grunge – Flamingo 1/2 Yard

The bubblegum-pink tone is exactly what I was hoping for, and the grunge mottling adds this lovely depth that makes it look almost like a watercolor wash. I’ve already got it earmarked for a quilt backing and it’s just the right playfulness to balance out my solids.

The mottled texture really makes this pink pop against solid fabrics, and it's soft enough to hand-quilt without fighting the needle. I'm already planning to order more for the backing of a baby quilt.

I used this to line a small tote bag, and the Grunge texture made the pink look almost subtle from a distance—loved how the mottling took away any flatness. It pressed nicely without any puckering, which is rare for a blender print. Just wish the width were a tad wider for bigger projects, but it’s
