Thatched – Pansy 1/2 Yard

The purple is so velvety it almost feels like a plush blanket, not your typical quilting cotton. It's going to look gorgeous against the cream and gold pieces I already pulled for this project.

I was a little worried the purple would be too dark, but it’s just the right jewel tone that really pops against cream and gold. The fabric is soft and smooth to the touch, almost velvety like the description says. It’s going to make a lovely accent in my quilt.

The color depth is exactly what I hoped for—that velvety, jewel-like purple feels rich enough to anchor a whole quilt. It's a bit stiffer than some blenders I've used, but it should soften up nicely after a wash. Pairing it with cream and gold scraps for a fall project.
