Grunge – Duchess 1/2 Yard

The dusty mauve color is even prettier in person—perfect for my next quilt project. It’s soft but has enough body to hold a crisp seam.

The mottled texture in this one is exactly what I wanted for the background squares of a quilt — it reads almost solid from across the room but has that soft tonal variation up close. Cut a few strips already and there was hardly any fraying at the edges.

The dusty mauve is even prettier in person, and the mottled texture gives it way more depth than a flat blender. Cut it for a quilt border and it pressed beautifully with no fraying.
