The crosshatch texture is subtle in person but shows up nicely once quilted, which is exactly what I wanted for a baby quilt. Petal is that soft dusty pink that plays well with creams and greens without going too sweet.

The soft pink is warmer than it looked on my screen, which I was a little nervous about, but it's perfect. I used it as a blender between some bolder prints and the crosshatch texture keeps it from reading flat. Half yard was plenty for the border I had in mind.
